Below documents may help the people who want to know the difference between the LED Grow Light and HPS . 


LED Light Intensity 

A lot of people worry about the kind of intensity that LED lights can provide. Compared to HPS lights, the intensity is near even. What stands out is that LED lights can’t compete when measured based on standards for these kinds of lights. LED grow lights, in tests, out perform HPS lights every time, even if they don’t seem to actually produce a more intense light. When testing them, LED grow lights were able to produce an even yield and seem to show that future advances in the technology will help increase the yield even more, especially when compared to HPS lights.

 

Low HEAT

The 8 Bands full spectrum LED Grow Light emits much less heat than conventional grow light(fluorescent lamp, HID , MH etc.)Creating a much more efficient and affordable indoor growing system. If you are using HPS grow lights and have to constantly battle heat, LED grow lights offer an incredible advantage. Rather than spending extra money circulating air and attempting to cool it enough to not burn your plants, LED grow lights can nearly touch your plants without harming them in any way. Of course, if you grow in cold weather, HPS lights might still be beneficial, although it might often be easier to simply heat the grow room, rather than run the risk of using HPS lighting systems. The heat output of LED grow lights might increase as they grow larger and larger, but the current kinds used by many growers are warm to the touch, with none of the burning heat that conventional grow lights offer.



YIELDS 

LED grow lights have been tested on yield time and time again. Overall, most indoor growers that use HPS grow lights achieve a yield of 0.5 grams per watt. For comparison, LED grow lights usually achieve 1g to 1.5g per watt, making them up to three times more effective. With each harvest, you will have three times the product that you achieve !


Multi-functionality

LED grow lights, compared to HPS lights, are much more versatile. The bulky HPS grow lights don’t offer much in terms of polyfunctional. LED grow lights, however, can be positioned around your plants and relatively close, due to the lack of heat that comes off of them.


Type Of Light.

 The type of light that LED grow lights put out as well is specifically tailored for the flowering and vegetative stages of growth. HPS lights put out the entire wavelength, but LED grow lights focus on blue and red or other specific spectrums that fit the needs of the plant and makes sure that every specific wavelength of LED is used specifically for a different phase of the growth.


Plug-And-Play

LED grow lights are plug-and-play which means you can simply hang up the lamp over your plants and plug it directly into any standard electrical socket. HPS lighting requires the use of a ballast; for smaller models it can be built-in, but larger HPS lights generally need a brick-sized external ballast.


Built-In Cooling System 

Along the lines of being totally plug-and-play, most LED grow lamps have heatsinks and small built-in fans to help disperse heat up and away from the lamp, which lets them run cooler. On the other hand, even a small HPS bulb needs extra help for cooling, usually by venting out hot air using a fan and ducting.


Customized Color Spectrum

It is known that the color spectrum of light affects how plants grow. Unlike other grow lights which are pretty set in their color spectrum, each LED diode can be configured to emit light of a very specific color spectrum chosen by the user. This means that LED grow light color spectrums can be adjusted and customized in a modular way that’s impossible to achieve with any other grow lights.



So, decision time: HPS or LED?


Honestly, either one will work just fine for indoor growing. The question is whether you want to shell out the extra money up front and not have to worry about changing your fixtures for a decade or save some dough upfront and lose the longevity. Many people opt for what they know and are familiar with, so HPS usually gets the nod. But as LED technology progresses and prices drop, we should see more and more Light Emitting Diodes(LED) being used in indoor grows.

*Do not use the lights in dripping water or anywhere they will get wet,water and dlectricity can be dangerous mixture.

*The working environment for LED grow light is -20∼40℃,45%∼95%RH.

*To protect the light,Please cut off the power when there is lighting strike.

*Do not touch or move when the light is working.

*Tips for increasing lifespan:please let the light have a rest about 20mins after 5∼6hours working.

*DO NOT Stare at the LED Grow Light when its working due to its too bright  .
